About our Dentists

Gary E. Taylor D.D.S., P.C. graduated from the University of Toronto, School of Dentistry in 1980, where he was class president and won a varsity letter. He also has a B.Sc. with honors in Biology.  Prior to moving to Alpharetta and purchasing Old Alabama Family Dentistry in 2001, Dr. Taylor owned a dental practice for 15 years in Toronto's midtown Yorkville area. As an aside, some of Dr. Taylor's dental artistry can be seen in patients on the Toronto stage...and on Broadway!

He has held memberships in the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, Academy of General Dentistry (including passing the Fellowship Examinations), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Component Dental Association, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association,  and study clubs in Osseointegration (i.e., implants), and another in Crown & Bridge.  Dr. Taylor has also been invited to the Advisory Panel on implants for a leading implant manufacturer.  In 2006, Dr. Taylor was named as one of America's Top Dentists by the non-profit  Consumer's Research Council of America, www.ConsumersResearchCncl.org, which makes merit-based selections.

Dr. Taylor is married to wife, Jane, and has two sons, Jesse and Jake, who are both now college students. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Taylor coaches a high school hockey team, tinkers and rebuilds any-and-everything, and plays a mean guitar!
